About the Chamber

Welcome to the Buellton Chamber of Commerce

Heart of Santa Barbara County in the Santa Ynez Valley

The Buellton Chamber of Commerce was incorporated as the Buellton Businessmen's Association in June of 1956. It was later changed in 1987 to the Buellton Business Association and in keeping with the changing times, in 1990 to the Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber is guided by a 9 member Board of Directors. For staff, there is a full-time Executive Director, a full-time Office Manager, and weekend Information Officer. The Chamber of Commerce is under contract with the City of Buellton to operate and maintain the Buellton Visitor's Bureau. For this service, the Chamber is allotted 10% of the Transient Occupancy Tax that the City receives from the local hotels, motels and RV park.

Presently, there are 140 members and membership continues to grow. A membership is $125.00 a year. Monthly dinner meetings are held at local restaurants with featured guest speakers, and during the summer months, businesses host mixers.

Buellton is a young City with a bright future...and our business community is based upon two driving forces...thriving tourism and agriculture. In addition, Buellton has taken upon the task of providing many of the valley's needed public services, commerce and affordable housing.
